Somatoemotional Release (SER)
This is a specific therapeutic approach that was developed as part of Craniosacral Therapy (CST), particularly by John Upledger. SER focuses on the connection between physical tension in the body and unresolved emotions or trauma that may be held in the body. The technique involves identifying areas of the body where emotional tension is stored and facilitating the release of both the somatic (physical) and emotional components of that tension. The goal is to help the person process and release not just physical discomfort, but also the emotional patterns tied to those physical sensations.
SER can help with:
Chronic pain, Injuries, Headaches and migraines, Postural issues, Emotional Trauma and PTSD, Grief and loss: Unprocessed grief can become “trapped” in the body, contributing to emotional distress or physical pain.
